Privacy Policy for iHebrew
Effective date: August 7, 2026 | Applies to the iHebrew app on both iOS and Android iHebrew (“the app,” “we,” or “our”) is a study reference for Biblical Hebrew, vocabulary, and lexicon lookup. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app does and does not handle, and applies equally to the version of iHebrew distributed on Apple's App Store (iOS) and on Google Play (Android).
1. Information We Collect
iHebrew does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically, the app:
Does not require or offer account creation, sign-in, or a user profile.
Does not ask you to enter your name, email address, location, or any other personal details.
Does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services of any kind.
Does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, or precise location.
Does not save any of your activity in the app — all grammar, vocabulary, and lexicon content is bundled with the app itself and works entirely offline, with no data sent to us or to any server we operate.
2. Embedded Video Content and Third-Party Services
Some grammar lessons in iHebrew include instructional videos hosted on YouTube and shown inside the app. When you choose to play one of these videos, your device connects directly to YouTube/Google to load and stream it. This is the only feature in iHebrew that communicates with an outside service, and it only happens when you actively tap to play a video.
That connection is subject to Google's own privacy practices, not ours — we do not receive, see, or store any information from it. You can review how Google and YouTube handle this data in the Google Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. If you prefer not to share any information with YouTube, simply don't play the videos; every other part of the app continues to work fully offline.
3. App Permissions
iHebrew requests only the minimum technical permissions needed to function on each platform:
Internet access — used solely to load the embedded YouTube videos described above.
Standard storage-related permissions required by the underlying app framework on older Android versions — the app does not use these to read, save, or share any files from your device.
iHebrew does not request camera, microphone, contacts, location, calendar, or health-data permissions on either platform.
4. Data Security
Because iHebrew does not collect or transmit personal information, there is no personal data at risk of being disclosed, sold, or breached through use of the app.
5. Children's Privacy
iHebrew is a language-study reference suitable for general audiences, including students. Since the app collects no personal information from any user, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region), and no such information is requested at any point in the app.
6. Changes to This Policy
If iHebrew’s features change in a way that affects this policy — for example, if a future update adds a new capability that involves data collection — this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly, and the revised version will be made available through the same channel as this one, with an updated effective date above.
7. Contact Us
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or about iHebrew, you can reach the developer at the contact details on the appstore pages.
This policy covers the iHebrew app distributed under bundle/package identifier com.danzac.igreek on both the Apple
